Liberty secures £18 million in new contracts in the North West
Liberty has secured 9 new contracts in the North West worth over £18 million.
Liberty will deliver gas servicing, maintenance and installation services for over 13,000 homes owned by Wirral based housing association, Magenta Living, procured via Fusion21. The contract for gas service and repair is worth £1.6 million per annum over the next five years, with the opportunity of installation works in addition, taking the contract to a maximum value of £3 million per annum. Liberty has worked with Magenta Living for over 13 years delivering smaller contracts, but this contract award will see Liberty expand its services with Magenta Living to deliver vital safety services to all of Magenta Living’s tenants.
Ian Thomson, Executive Director for Assets at Magenta Living said: “I’m pleased that Liberty have been awarded the contract for gas servicing and repairs with Magenta Living. We have a great partnership with Liberty, and I know they pride themselves on ensuring our tenants remain safe and warm in their homes. Awarding Liberty the contract for the next five years offers both our tenants and colleagues assurances that we, along with Liberty, are committed to providing excellent services to our tenants with the main priority being ensuring safety in their homes.”
Seven further contracts with ForHousing will see Liberty’s repairs, maintenance and construction division, and heating and compliance division jointly deliver £2.95 million in planned improvement and routine maintenance programmes. These will see Liberty completing re-roofing, balcony replacements, fire compartmentalization and fire safety system maintenance, roadside parking improvements, windows and doors renewals, asbestos removal, legionella works, high rise commercial boiler maintenance.
The final contract win for Liberty, is with North West growth and regeneration group, Torus, and is a £133,000 retrofit project to install innovative, eco-friendly, electrical water-filled heating systems to sheltered housing scheme Portland Gardens in Liverpool. This scheme will reduce carbon emissions from the building and save their tenants money.
Ray Jones, Group Managing Director of Liberty, said: “These contract awards are great news for Liberty at a time when we are remobilising our services as the restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic begin to lift.
“We’ve been working hard with our partners and clients during lockdown to ensure we can deliver work safely and in line with guidelines. As part of this we’ve taken the opportunity to look at our ways of working to make sure we continue to offer smart and straightforward services to meet clients’ needs as part of the new normal.
“We’re excited to be working with Magenta Living, ForHousing and Torus to deliver a wide range of work to keep their tenants safe, secure and warm in their homes.”
