Liberty wins multiple heating contracts worth over £7 million

Liberty has been awarded four new gas servicing and maintenance contracts worth £7m with housing associations and local authorities in North of England and North Wales.

The contracts with Home Group, Alliance Norse Group, West Lancashire Borough Council and Wrexham Borough Council, and will see the improvement of around 18,000 homes and underscore the company’s market-leading expertise in heating installations, maintenance, safety and repairs.

Liberty has retained its contract with Alliance Norse Group for 24-hour, all-year-round maintenance and repair of domestic heating for High Peak Council’s 4,000 homes.

The £3.25m contract, awarded via a mini competition through the PfH Heating Solutions Framework, also supports a strong social element. One local young apprentice will be recruited each year alongside the provision of training and development opportunities with local schools and Buxton Job Centre.

Connections will be strengthened with local charities including Stockport Foodbank and there will be proactive local campaigns to raise awareness of gas safety.

West Lancashire Borough Council has awarded Liberty a 5-year contract to provide servicing and maintenance of heating appliances and installations to nearly 5,000 homes.

The £3m contract also includes the service and maintenance of 588 solar thermal heating systems, 149 air-source heat pumps and 117 sheltered schemes. As part of the businesses social value commitments, one apprentice will be assigned to the contract.

Wrexham County Borough Council (CBC) has awarded Liberty a further one-year contract worth £500,000 for the installation of domestic heating systems in up to 200 homes via a mini tender within the original framework. The contract was procured through the normal Sell to Wales route.

Finally, Home Group has awarded Liberty a contract worth £150,000 to provide gas servicing for the organisation’s Cumbria Installs project which will see the upgrade of 9,000 homes.
