Livv Housing: Driving Decarbonisation Retrofits in Merseyside

Liberty is proud to be supporting Livv Housing Group to deliver on their ambitious decarbonisation goals, as installation partner for a large-scale retrofit programme across their property portfolio in Merseyside.

The contract has an estimated value of up to £2m and is focused on retrofitting homes, aiming to improve the lives of Livv Housing Group’s customers by making their homes cheaper to run through improved energy efficiency, whilst reducing carbon emissions.

The project will see Liberty deliver energy efficiency upgrades, including the installation of solar photovoltaic panels (PV), loft and cavity wall insulation, to up to 1,500 homes.

Retrofit surveys, completed by Maloney Associates began in 2024, with Liberty due to begin installation work in Q1 2025.

The partnership between Liberty and Livv Housing Group commenced July 2024 and the scheme will run until late 2025, helping to reduce fuel poverty whilst delivering on Livv Housing Group’s commitment to achieve a minimum Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of C by the end of 2025.

Tony Cahill, Executive Director at Livv Housing Group said: “Having a safe, warm home is where opportunity in life stems from. At Livv, we recognise this pivotal need for our customers, alongside our role in contributing to the Net Zero Carbon agenda.

“We’re pleased to be working with Liberty on retrofit solutions which will help our customers keep warm and save money, as well as fulfil our aim to bring all of our homes up to EPC C by the end of the year – 5 years ahead of government targets.”
